Karen is a recent alumna from the University of Toronto Scarborough in psychology and health studies. She is keenly interested in creation of public educational platforms that seek to positively impact quality of life.

As a 3M National Student Fellows, she was recognized for co-creating TEDxUTSC - the first campus-wide TEDx event at the University of Toronto. Currently, she serves as the founder & editor-in-chief of Minds Matter Magazine (MMM), U of T's only interdisciplinary community platform focusing on student perspectives relating to mental health. She also mentors recently settled immigrants to pass the Canadian citizenship test at CultureLink.
